Native Wildlife

At Coalmine Beach Holiday Park we are very blessed to have a large number of wild animals living in the surrounding National Park Habitat. The wildlife do roam into and the Holiday Park on a daily basis, so we ask all guests to refrain from feeding and touching the animals. We all need to limit human impact on their natural lives so that these animals do not become dependant on us to survive. We do appreciate the fact that some visitors may have never seen a kangaroo or a kookaburra up close before however please admire them from afar and do not feed them. We would like to ask guests to ensure all rubbish is put into the rubbish bins supplied throughout the park before leaving the camp grounds. Hanging rubbish bags in camp will only entice the animals to come closer.

These inlets with the river systems have been classified as a National Marine Park. This means that fish cleaning must be done at the Walpole Town Jetty fish cleaning facility. People seen fish cleaning on the shores of the inlets or on their boats can incur a fine for doing so. All fish offal is to be disposed of at the fish cleaning facility in town. We ask all guests of Coalmine Beach to store fishing bait in their own fridge/freezers, not in the camp kitchens. This ensures our fridge/freezers are left clean and tidy for guests food and drinks. Any bait stored in our fridge/freezers will be disposed of immediately.
